Mike Haberkorn, Associate Pastor of Discipleship
After growing up in Topeka, KS, and attending Kansas State University, Mike moved to Dallas to pursue ministry, completing a ThM at Dallas Seminary and working on the staff of Park Cities Presbyterian Church. Mike then spent nine years at First Presbyterian Church of Chattanooga, TN before joining Hope’s pastoral staff in 2023. Mike and his wife, Mary have five children — four boys and a girl. Kathy Teuton, Director of Operations
A native of Northeast Texas and alumna of Stephen F. Austin State University, Kathy has lived in the New Braunfels area for 30+ years. The wife of a football coach and the mother of three grown children, Kathy also has extensive experience in church operations and is the one who makes Hope “go.” Contact Kathy.
Jack Bennington, Director of Youth and Children
Jack Bennington grew up in Arkadelphia, Arkansas and graduated from Ouachita Baptist University. He moved to Texas to complete his Master of Theology at Dallas Theological Seminary and served in youth ministry at Park Cities Presbyterian Church. As Hope's Youth & Children's Director, Jack is passionate about leading the kids and teens to know and love Jesus. He and his wife, Maddie, are excited to call New Braunfels home. Contact Jack
Bonnie Armstrong, Director of Women
Bonnie grew up all over Texas in a football coach's family and got her BS in Education from Abilene Christian University. She began her career as a special education teacher and now leads the children and women's ministries at Hope. She is married to David and they have a son and twin girls. In her free time, Bonnie likes to exercise, play volleyball, travel, and bake. Contact Bonnie.
Owen Stroud, Director of Music
Owen grew up in Leander, TX, and attended Texas A&M University. After working for RUF at the University of Missouri, Owen pursued music professionally in both the church and secular context in Charlottesville, VA, and Nashville, TN. Owen moved back to Central Texas in 2020 to serve at Hope and continue writing, recording, and performing great music. Contact Owen.
Brittan Vaughn, Nursery Coordinator
Brittan has been on staff at Hope since 2021. She has always enjoyed working with children and considers it her calling to serve the church in that way. Outside of her work at Hope, she enjoys traveling, watching a good movie, playing pickle ball, and spending time with friends and family. Contract Brittan.
